Wyvern Borzoi came into being in the spring of 1984 when I got my first bitch from Anne Dragoo. She was already a year old; a good sized bitch in a mostly white coat with very light cream spots. Having previously learned the show-ropes on my German Shorthaired Pointers and Italian Greyhounds, I was impressed with how easy and enjoyable it was to show this regal hound. We were thrilled when Tascha finished very easily with 3 majors in a row! She was CH Kesharis Ice Storm, a great foundation on which to build our hopes and dreams.
We fell in total love with this breed as a result of that very special bitch. She was bred once to Linda Mazors dog, CH Rabrega Cool Cash Carter, Fld CH and had 4 pups. I kept a dog and a bitch that went on to become Am/Can CH Wyvern Glowing Ember Keshari and Am/Can CH Kesharis Glory of Wyvern. Bernie finished with all majors and Goldie finished with 4 majors and 2 singles! Wyvern was off to a great start!

Levi and some friendly competition
With limited showing and breeding, Wyvern takes great pride in the Borzoi I have produced and shown. My husband, Richard, and three children, Philip, Erin and Amanda have shown a lot of support in their care and up-bringing. We strive to incorporate all the best values attributed to this beautiful and aristocratic breed. Whether they be potential show prospects and thus the building blocks of future generations of Borzoi, or dogs that will be good family members as beloved pets, we want our dogs to be good, quality representatives of the breed. And, along the way, we thoroughly enjoy the company of other folks in the same pursuit. But, most importantly, we thoroughly enjoy our life with Borzoi!
